Highlights from the European Division

Pleasanton, CA - August 7, 1997 - Bridge Pointe Software, Inc. now has a wholly owned subsidiary in Europe named Bridge Pointe Software (Europe), GmbH. The following is a brief description of their achievements. Minihouse International B.V.
Groningen, The Netherlands

Minihouse provides first-rate application solutions for the open client/server market. Products developed and marketed by Minihouse are Infosale, Financials, Distributions, Projects, and Human Resources Management.

"Infosale" is a complete information system to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in sales, marketing and account management. It is the leading sales and marketing application software in Europe, incorporating modules for Trade, Telemarketing, Mailing, Budgets, Data Communications, Marketing information, Project management, and more.

Minihouse and Bridge Pointe Software, Inc. agreed to engage in a joint development project to add a new module to the Infosale product called Infosale Archiving.

The new module will add the ability of capturing scanned images and faxes to the Sales and Marketing product Infosale. These additional pieces of information will be accessible by the client users through their normal screens making the amount of and the value of the additional data substantial.

Minihouse realizes that the ability to be able to capture information in the form of paper from the end users in the field as well as paper based marketing information and in turn make it available to all users is a significant advancement in the world of information.

UNISYS
Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Unisys has asked Bridge Pointe to estimate a project to integrate our BE4 engine with Unisys' production accounting system for Europe. All accounting functions for Unisys are being consolidated from each of the countries into one European location in Amsterdam.

To add significant value to the Oracle Financials based accounting system, and to reduce the required headcount to perform the necessary accounting functions, Unisys has decided to add the ability of having invoices, purchase orders, and all related accounting documents to their existing system.

The project is being evaluated in Uxbridge, England by Bridge Pointe Software European staff.

NRV
Neue Rechtschutz Versicherung (NRV)
Mannheim, Germany

Tandem Germany will complete a new Datawarehouse system for NRV. This system is based on the new NT-Server-Architecture of Tandem and the NonStop SQL/MX Database. This RDBMS database runs on clustered or stand-alone single or multiprocessor Windows NT Server-based systems, as well as on Tandem's NonStop Himalaya servers.

As part of this project, NRV will attach paper to their administration solutions to add more productivity for their users. Tandem has asked Bridge Pointe Software to evaluate the BE4 Technology for this new environment.

SOLID Information Technology LTD.
Helsinki, Finland

SOLID is one of the largest embedded Database development companies. Nokia, Philips, Compuware and Adtrans are only a few of their technology customers.

Bridge Pointe Software and SOLID have signed preliminary documents and have agreed to finalize a joint marketing agreement and distribution agreement. Bridge Pointe Software will be able to distribute the SOLID RDBMS server engine within the Bridge Pointe BE4 engine. Both companies will participate in joint sales and marketing activities with mission critical solution providers.

SAP AG
Walldorf, Germany

Bridge Pointe Software, Inc. met with an SAP team to review the requirements for the BE4 engine to achieve "R/3 System Complementary Software Certification."

SAP is the leading vendor of open business applications and has developed a special certification program for third-party complementary products. This allows their customers to benefit from short implementation cycles for ready-to-use solutions such as the BE4 Archiving Solution from Bridge Pointe Software.

Bridge Pointe Software will submit for review and testing to SAP in late October, 1997.

NOVO Group
Helsinki, Finland

Novo Group LTD is one of the largest service companies in the field of information technology in Finland. They are also the largest hardware reseller in Finland with total annual revenues over $218 Million (US), and over 1000 employees. Novo Group's business idea is to provide high quality IT services and products supporting customer's business operations. They specialize in integrating software services and hardware from different sources into complete systems.

They offer a wide range of software products in the area of materials management, libraries and geographic information systems, in-flight sales systems, intranet software, real estate and building facilities management, and accounting and personnel management systems.

After a technical presentation of Bridge Pointe Software's BE4 engine, they realized huge potential to add this technology to their existing application solutions, and to go back to their customer base and re-sell valuable Archiving Solutions. This will also give them a large competitive edge and allow them to compete throughout Europe.

Index Securities
Geneva, Switzerland

Bridge Pointe Software was invited to present their business plan and market strategies to Index Securities. Index launched their activities in technology investment banking in 1993, focusing on High Technology and Life Sciences. To date they have raised over $300 Million for technology corporate clients.

In 1997, they invested in Evolve Software, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) $12.6 MM; Optimer, Inc. (Wilmington, DE) $2.6 MM; SCM Microsystems, Inc. (Munich, Germany) $4.5 MM; Genetronics Biomedical $9.5 MM; and AIM Safety $8.5MM.

Bridge Pointe Software was very well received and follow up meetings are expected.

InSight Venture Partners L.P
Greenwich, Connecticut

Bridge Pointe Software was invited to present their business plan to InSight Venture in Nice, France to the Special European Partner Reiner Pinot-Noack, and received a visit from them at Bridge Pointe Software Headquarters.

Presentations were very well received and additional meetings have been scheduled in four weeks.

ETRE '97
Annual Conference

Bridge pointe was invited to ETRE '97 which will held in Budapest, Hungry this year (September 28 through October 1) by the Chairman of the conference, Alex Vieux.

The theme of this year's conference was "Information on Demand - Communication - Content: Inside the Digital Tornado." This certainly puts Bridge Pointe Software's strategy square into the Target Zone of what the top executives and journalists of the industry are deciding where to be.

A prestigious group of speakers including Eric Benhamou of 3Com, Eckhard Pfeiffer of Compaq, Michel Bon of France Telecom, James Barksdale of Netscape, Roel Pieper of Tandem, and Tom Engibous of Texas Instruments were present. The theme lent itself to an interesting discussion by an expanded group of journalists such as Steve Kaufman of the San Jose Mercury, David Kirkpatric of Fortune Magazine, and Michael Rogers of Newsweek.

Five hundred executives from 45 nations attended this conference. The invitation included the ability to have discussions about the products and marketing plans with most of our targeted customer base.
